AUGUSTO CURY FREEMIND WINDOWS
Trying to erase a bad experience in yourself, fix someone from your point of view, only creates killer windows or strengthen existing ones. Have you heard what you resist persists?Īn intelligent way to deal with killer windows is to use the D.C.D. Forgiveness! Even with his lips swollen, his mouth bleeding and dying of thirst, without saying a word Jesus welcomed him in a sincere and loving way. Often words are just words, but through the gaze there are love poems being recited eloquently, simply and sincerely. In this same example of Peter, there is something incredible that psychology is learning to use: the Gaze. When Peter denies Jesus the third time, his gaze met Jesus. Here is the surprise! When Jesus gazed at Peter, the Killer windows closed behind him, forming a Light window. This was amazing! Re-editing his memory. Peter was being dominated in the only place he could be truly free: his mind. So Peter did not only betray his master, but also his own conscience.Īs Peter followed Jesus the Killer windows dominated his mind, blocking him of thinking about all his master had taught him. A Killer Window opened in his unconscious, leaving his mind imprisoned by fear. He knew that if he said he was a disciple of Jesus he would take a great risk. Along the way some people recognized him and asked him “Aren’t you one of Jesus’ disciples?” but Peter denied it, because he did not want to say that he knew the man who was being judged by the religious leaders of that time, and by the mighty Roman Empire. When Jesus was imprisoned, Peter followed him from afar as a mere observer.

Peter was one of the twelve disciples of Jesus, and at the end of the life of his master, Peter disowned him. In a simple psychological analysis, it is easy to see that Peter was an anxious, impatient, rude, tense person and not an expert in acting before thinking. Seeing these characteristics Jesus chose a bad disciple. However, Peter had two characteristics that few people have: the sincerity to admit his mistakes and an enormous capacity for observation. To better understand how these windows dominate our mind, I will use as an example a famous story of the bible, it is important to emphasize that my goal is not to deal with religion I will only take a famous story to illustrate the concepts mentioned above. Imagine, you might be imprisoning your spouse, your child, your friend, your loved ones telling them what you think they should be doing, with your bad criticism, imposing your ideas. Light windows are the opposite of killer windows, because they store good experiences such as solidarity, gratitude, love, joy, pleasure and altruism among many other great ones. If you now think for five seconds of a trauma or frustration you have, or ruminate a comment, bad criticism that someone made, a new K iller window will be created permanently in your unconscious. The term Killer refers to the traumatic cores caused by bad experiences like traumas, fears, sadness, frustrations, and feelings of guilt among others. The K iller window imprisons the Self and prevents us from being the author of our own history. They murder intelligence! These windows dominate our minds because they are created unconsciously and instantaneously by an automatic memory registry phenomenon. Today I will talk about two important windows, the Killer Windows (traumatic) and the Light Windows (healthy). It is so important to learn about the Windows of our Memory, and the construction of our thoughts! You are what you think! You are the main actor in your story, and being an eternal learner on this short existential walk is essential! If you could erase anything from your memory what would you erase? Many would certainly erase fears, phobias, shyness, anxiety, frustrations, heartaches, or even delete from memory the people who made you suffer and cry. But the greatest sign of intelligence is not to erase something bad from your memory, but to learn from your own tears mapping your fears learn to be bold be calm and serene even suffering with disturbing emotions.
